North Santiam Sportsman's Club

Founded in 1958 by five families with a shared love for hunting, fishing, and the great outdoors, the North Santiam Sportsman’s Club (NSSC) has grown to become a unique community. Today, nearly 100 families enjoy the club, maintaining the same passion for outdoor recreation that our founders once held.
NSSC is nestled on the picturesque south shore of Detroit Lake in Detroit, Oregon. Our home-away-from-home offers a serene and scenic environment for camping, boating, and a variety of outdoor activities. NSSC members are a diverse group of individuals and families, united by their love for the outdoors.

Historic Lodge: Originally built as a gathering place, now used for special events and club functions.
Close-Knit Community: Our membership includes nearly 100 families, with many sharing campsites and boat slips.
Application Process
At this time, our waiting list is full, as we reached our cap of 50 applicants. We encourage those interested in becoming a member to contact our Secretary at the link below to be placed on our email notification list. When our application list opens back up, we will do our best to notify those who are interested.
The pace at which applicants are moved into membership varies—sometimes we have no movement, while other years we may have multiple openings. Applicants are required to complete a background check and pay a $100 non-refundable fee to be placed on the waiting list, which also covers the background check process. Once accepted, new members pay a $1,000 new member fee (minus the initial $100), plus annual dues of $450. We contact and offer acceptance to applicants in the order they were added to the list.
